The Schools Challenge is an opportunity for schools to compete in the Discovery Triathlon World Cup Cape Town. Learners from 14 - 18 years old can compete either as an individual or in a team of two or three members. Learners will be representing their Schools as they vie for glory to claim one of the four trophies up for grabs.

  • Greatest number of entries – Across both Triathlon and Duathlon

  • Fastest Sprint Team – Triathlon

  • Fastest Sprint Team – Duathlon

  • Fastest Super Sprint Team – Duathlon

Early Bird Special - Early bird entries include a 10% discount on the regular ticket price and Priority Athlete Status - which allows you additional benefits that will enhance your race day experience as a reward for entering early. Offer is limited to the first 300 entries across the Triathlon and the Duathlon entry categories. One parking pass per entry or team only.

School Challenge Rules:

  • Team participation category will be determined by the age of the oldest member of the team. Age groups are aligned to TSA age group categories.

  • Teams can consist of 2 or 3 members and can be male/female or mixed teams

  • Teams with two members: One of the members will do two legs of the race.

  • Teams with three members: First member to swim; second member to cycle; third member to run
