Super Sprint Duathlon:

Sunday 11 February at 12:00

Start:

Green Point Common

Run 1:

Run 1 comprises of one 2,5km lap, starting in Green Point Common. The route heads in the direction of the Green Point Urban Park where athletes reach Turning Point 1. The athletes now head back down the city cycle path to the underpass, heading under the underpass and into P12/P13 where they reach Turning Point 2. At Turning Point 2, they head back towards P4 parking returning along the same path. On completing the lap the athletes turn right into P4 parking and into Transition 1.

Cycle:

The cycle is two 5km laps. Leaving Transition 1, cyclists mount on stadium forecourt turning right and continuing up Fritz Sonnenburg Road where they turn left into Granger Bay Boulevard and down to the roundabout onto Beach Road. They continue straight until Turning Point 4, where they turn around and head back to Fritz Sonnenburg, straight past the Green Point Athletics Stadium onto the second lap along the same route. Upon reaching the stadium forecourt after their 2nd lap, cyclists will make their way into Transition 2 in P4.

Run 2:

Run 2 comprises of one 2.5km lap. After Transition 2 athletes continue out of the P4 parking following the same route as Run 1. At the underpass the athletes do a U turn and run back along the cycle path, take a sharp right turn into Vlei Road and double back at the entrance of the Common onto the carpet and across the finish line.

Run 1 comprises of one 5km lap, starting in Green Point Common. The route heads in the direction of the Green Point Urban Park where athletes reach Turning Point 1. The athletes now head back down the city cycle path to the underpass, heading under the underpass and into P12/P13 where they reach Turning Point 2. At Turning point 2, they head back towards the underpass and out on the pavement towards the Traffic Department. At Turning Point 3, athletes head back towards the underpass and back up the cycle path, returning along the same path. On completing the lap the athletes turn right into P4 parking and into Transition 1.

At Turning Point 3, athletes head back towards the underpass and back up the cycle path to start lap 2, returning along the same path. On completion of Lap 2 the athletes turn right into P4 parking and into Transition 1.

The cycle comprises of four 10km laps. Leaving Transition 1, cyclists mount on stadium forecourt turning right and continuing up Fritz Sonnenburg Road where they turn left into Granger Bay Boulevard and down to the roundabout onto Beach Road. They continue straight to Turning Point 4, where they turn around and head back to Fritz Sonnenburg, straight past the Green Point Athletics Stadium onto the second lap along the same route. Continue with the same route for all 4 laps. On the fourth lap and upon reaching the stadium forecourt, cyclists will make their way and enter Transition 2 in P4.

Run 2:

Run 2 comprises of one 5km lap. After exiting Transition2 in P4 parking, the route heads in direction of the Green Point Urban Park until Turning Point 1. The athletes now heads back down the city cycle path to the underpass, heading under the underpass and into P12/P13 to Turning Point 2. At Turning point 2 they head back towards the underpass and out on the pavement towards the Traffic department. At Turning Point 3 the athlete heads back towards the underpass, turns left and heads back along the cycle path, to take a sharp right turn at Vlei Road and double back at the entrance of the Common onto the carpet and across the finish line
